    Welcome

Dental care in Kathmandu for visitors and expatriates — from consulting before you travel to emergency care during your stay.

Established in 2000, Healthy Smiles runs three dental clinics in the Kathmandu Valley.

Our clinics in Lazimpat, Durbarmarg and Sanepa see patients ranging from families living in Nepal to visitors here for a short stay. This page explains what to do before you travel, during your stay, and after you return home.

    Before You Travel

    01

    Send us your concern

Message the clinic you plan to visit on WhatsApp or email. You can share reports, X-rays, photos and a description of the problem before you travel.

    02

    Preliminary guidance

Our team can give preliminary guidance, an idea of how many visits may be needed, and help you plan treatment around your travel dates.

    03

    Medical history online

Fill in the medical history form before your first appointment so the dentist can review your medications, allergies and health conditions in advance.

    Examination and estimate

A firm plan is only possible after an examination in the clinic. After evaluation we explain the treatment and give an estimated cost based on your needs.

A Dental Emergency While You Are in Kathmandu

Severe tooth pain, facial swelling, dental trauma or a broken tooth, bleeding that will not stop, and signs of infection can all be dental emergencies.

Call or WhatsApp the clinic nearest to where you are staying. We try to see urgent cases on the same day whenever possible; availability depends on the branch and schedule.

For dental emergencies outside opening hours, call or message us on WhatsApp and we will guide you.

If swelling is spreading quickly, you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, or you have a head injury, go to a hospital emergency department straight away.

    After You Return Home

Before you leave, ask for copies of your X-rays and treatment details so your dentist at home can continue your care. If you have questions after treatment, contact the clinic that treated you on WhatsApp or email.
